Turkey is the gateway to the east and has a rich culture of art and design, no doubt influenced by the eight countries that surround it.
Turkish Delight or Lokum, available in many countries of the Mediterranean, is a sweet made of sugar and starch, flavoured with rose water, mastic or lemon, and may contain small pieces of nuts.
I have taken some typical Turkish designs and created them in the colours that Turkish Delight is made. Crystals will give your embroidery a more authentic look, so each design can be stitched out with or without the spaces depending whether you are going to add crystals. Don't be limited to the holes I have provided and remember that hot fix crystals come in many shapes and colours now.
